Alcohol Abuse Treatment

If you think you may have a problem with alcohol abuse, treatment is available at Peak Addiction Recovery Center. This is a nonprofit agency that offers you freedom from the bondage of alcohol and drug addiction through professional, comprehensive treatment services from inpatient treatment to outpatient care. They believe that addiction is a deadly disease and they offer you the solutions you are looking for. PARC also believes that alcohol abuse treatment that leads to recovery must occur on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. It takes time and dedications in order to lead to a successful recovery.

Residential alcohol abuse treatment begins with a thorough assessment and evaluation process including an extensive physical and psychological evaluation. Programs are then individualized based on these exams and on assessments of readiness and previous experience in recovery. All treatment plans will have on-going evaluations by the staff to determine the effectiveness of the current plan and the appropriate revisions that may be needed. There are a number of treatment features that are shared by most treatment plans but each is designed for the particular person it will be used for treatment with.

The primary focus of your alcohol abuse treatment is on inpatient treatment. The average stay for clients in inpatient treatment is thirty days, but it can be extended to 45 or 60 days depending on individual need. Once the client is taken, he/she will be introduced to PARC staff members as well as other clients, the facility in general, and will begin intake processing and assessments. Individualized treatment plans will include goals and objectives and are created with the patient, doctor, therapist and various other PARC team members. They will use a collaborative effort to establish open, honest, direct communication between your community and the treatment team since this is an important part of the alcohol abuse treatment process.

Your counselor will help you build a continued care plan that will insure the best success after you have completed the residential alcohol abuse treatment and are leaving the inpatient facility. This will often include transitioning into sober living houses and alcohol abuse treatment will continue with aftercare groups at PARC's downtown offices. If a sober living house is not a viable transition, every effort will be made to ensure that you transition into an environment that is deemed safe, healthy, supportive of recovery, and completely free of drugs and alcohol.

If you have an additional diagnosis, in particular a mental illness, you will need to have alcohol abuse treatment as well as treatment for the mental disorder. Several coexisting conditions can impede the treatment so, while Peak Addiction Recovery Center focuses primarily on substance abuse treatment, they clearly recognize the need to maintain or treat other illnesses. They have a team of doctors and clinicians that will incorporate co-occurring disorders and the appropriate treatment into your individual treatment plant. While they don't believe that treating only the addiction will provide you with an adequate outcome, they also believe that treating a mental illness without treating the co-occurring addiction is usually only a temporary solution to a lifelong problem.
