Meth addiction rehab - in addition to rehab for alcoholism and other substance abuse - is offered in a private, quiet and serene environment at the Peak Addiction Recovery Center, based near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Full time experienced clinical, counseling and medical staff is responsible for managing and operating this Center for opiate, alcohol and meth addiction rehab. Recovery programs for all addictions (including meth addiction) begin with an in-patient treatment plan. This consists of a combination of classes, therapies, individual counseling and group sessions.
These include a relapse prevention class, behavioral therapy, nutritional counseling, educational lectures, mirror imaging classes, exercise therapy, experiential therapy, leadership groups, community involvement activities, 12-step introduction classes, post-treatment needs assessment, family group sessions, addiction education, post-treatment planning, 12-step meetings, needs assessment and counseling, individual therapy, long term needs assessment and counseling, community re-entry planning and 'safe scenario' placement.
Clinical and counseling staff at this rehab facility is present 24/7 to track progress of patients and make appropriate changes that may be required in their treatment program. In addition to medical and psychological treatments, the staff at Peak Addiction Recovery also introduces clients to the Church to help strengthen their spiritual bond and increase their resolve to change their lives for the better. The in-patient residential treatment for alcohol, opiate, barbiturate and meth addiction lasts about one to two months depending on each patient's physical and mental health, extremity of addiction, his or her willingness to reform and pace of recovery.
After successful completion of the in-patient treatment, clients are then housed in 'transitional sober homes' (part of Peak Addiction Recovery Center's facilities in downtown Colorado Springs). These are separate accommodations for male and female patients, called the Samaritan Inn and the Foundation Home. These are designed to 'ease' these former addicts back to their own, independent lives but without their alcohol, opiate, barbiturate and meth addiction. Out-patient therapy, which consists of a few classes, group sessions and counseling sessions, is also conducted during this 'transitional' time.
Peak Addiction Recovery Center staunchly believes that this gentle procedure involving tailored in-patient treatment and a transitional outpatient program helps increase chances of long term sobriety of these former victims of alcohol, opiate and meth addictions.
True freedom from addiction is a difficult journey and the Peak Addiction Recovery Center's commitment to a healthy, sober and safe transition through proven and effective addiction treatment plans helps create the best possible odds for a rewarding and prosperous life.
The Peak Addiction Recovery Center is a private, non-profit corporation that was founded by Mr. Michael J. Kelvey and Dr. Charles J. Stephens in an attempt to provide viable treatment options for those afflicted with severe alcoholism and drug abuse addictions like opiate and meth addiction. The in-patient and out-patient treatments at Peak Addiction Recovery Center operate under an inclusive and non-discriminatory policy - those who are not able to afford the rehab for alcohol, opiate and meth addiction for their loved ones or their selves are offered corporate grants (these are corporate donations to the Peak Addiction Recovery Center) to help them cover the cost of the treatment. These are subject to availability of these grants.
