Pill Addiction

The Peak Addiction Recovery Center is based in the Pine Peaks region of Colorado which is in close vicinity to Colorado Springs. The Center offers addiction recovery programs to clients wishing to rid themselves or their loved ones of their alcohol, opiate and pill addiction for the long term - with as little chances of a relapse as possible. The Peak Addiction Recovery Center provides a serene, private and quiet environment, and achieves its purpose of ridding its patients of their addictions through gentle, yet progressive and effective treatment programs that are designed around various needs and concerns of the addict. The founders of Peak Addiction Recovery Center believe that recovery from alcohol / drug / pill addiction is a slow process, drawn out over a number of months and requiring efforts on the physical, rational and emotional level.

To this effect, a number of classes, therapies, discussions and group support systems are in place that help provide the all-roundedness that this treatment program aims at achieving. Treatment spans over several months - the first one or two months are spent in the Peak Addiction Recovery Center's in-patient facility in Pike Peaks, Colorado under twenty four hour clinical, counseling and medical supervision. The in-patient treatment plan comprises a relapse prevention class, behavioral therapy, nutritional counseling, 12-step introduction classes, 12-step meetings, needs assessment and counseling, individual therapy, long term needs assessment and counseling, post-treatment needs assessment, family group sessions, addiction education, experiential therapy and community involvement activities in addition to a number of others - all aiming at providing a wide grounding in healthful, sober living. Depending on the rate of improvement and relief from alcohol or pill addiction, patients are then made to be part of an out-patient program by the same rehab facility. During the length of the out-patient program, patients can opt to live in 'transitional sober homes' which are based in downtown Colorado Springs and owned and operated by the Peak Addiction Recovery Center. These transitional homes are separate for both males and females.

The males live in a transitional home facility called the Samaritan Inn, and the females reside in the Foundation Home. The purpose of living in these transitional 'community re-entry preparatory homes' is to gently push former addicts towards a healthy, independent life without the vice-like grip of their alcohol and meth addiction getting in the way of their work, family and social life. Former addicts and alcoholics are usually under supervision, and the time period spent in these transitional homes helps in making their newfound sober lifestyle part of their 'real' life, with the least possible chance of a relapse. Rehabilitation treatment for alcohol and pill addiction at the Peak Addiction Recovery Center is provided to all those in need of such treatment indiscriminately. Hence, even if a client cannot afford to enter the addiction rehab program at this recovery center, corporate grants and private gifts are available to the Peak Addiction Recovery Center. These, however, are limited and subject to availability of these charity funds. Those in need of alcohol or pill addition rehab and willing to take pro-active steps about it to change their lives are advised to contact staff of the Peak Addiction Recovery Center for more information the extent of financial support available.
